Amboseli National Park

The Amboseli National park covers an area of 39,206 hectors.

The wildlife there lives in peace at every corner; however, the park is widely known for diverse varieties of birds. That means birds of over 300 species can be found in here.

On the ground, the park has 47 raptor species living in dried up lands and 5 main swamps. The most exciting aspect about the park is that tourists get to watch magnificent Kenyan elephants from a very close distance. Adorning the background of the elephants in the green meadow is Mount Kilimanjaro hill which is resting along with the horizon. The MT Kilimanjaro is also known as a free-standing mountain. Apart from the wildlife, tourists visit here just to get a wonderful sight of that highest free-standing mountain. Amboseli is also famous for discovering the culture of Kenyan people.

Getting there is also a wonderful experience because the route includes Mombasa and Tsavo West National Park. And yes, the park is only 240km far from Nairobi city center.
